She is world record holder over 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m and 5000m; setting her first world record at the age of 12. But she is fast making a name for herself on the boccia court too.

She made her first appearance for Boccia UK at the World Boccia Poznan Challenger in August 2022. In the following year, Kayleigh received the call up for the Montreal World Cup. She starred in the BC1/2 line up and helped win bronze, alongside David Smith OBE and Claire Taggart.

In 2024, Kayleigh secured her first ever individual gold medal at international level, winning the Lahti Challenger in Finland. And just days later, she was back on the podium collecting gold in the BC1/2 Team event with David Smith and Claire Taggart.

She was named in the ParalympicsGB squad for Paris 2024 in June:

“I cannot wait to represent ParalympicsGB. After 13 years of competing internationally across three different sports, my dream has finally come true. From the first time I played, the tactics and excitement of boccia had me hooked. And in Paris, I want to enjoy every moment and play the best I can.”

In 2017, she was named as one of 30 most inspiring women under 30 by YMCA Scotland. She is also co-chair of Ayrshire Sportsability.
